Expansion of the moth range from 1975 to present shown on a satellite view of Venosta/Vinschgau valley (Italy) (available with permission from the Forest Service of Bolzano/Bozen district). Silandro/Schlanders coordinates are: 46°38’ N, 10°43’ E. Elevation of Silandro/Schlanders village is 721 m. Dotted line: upper limit of the range of Pinus sylvestris, approx. 1500 m and 1200 m on the southern and northern slope, respectively. Crosses: sites used for the translocation experiments.
